Privacy Policy

Short version. Cookie Nibble runs entirely on your device. It does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your cookies, browsing data, or any personal information. There are no analytics, no tracking, and no user accounts.

1. Who we are

This extension, “Cookie Nibble” (the “Extension”), is published by Zero Wallet Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong (the “we”, “us”, “our”). Contact: support@cookienibble.com.

2. What the Extension does

Cookie Nibble lets you view, edit, create, back up (export), and restore (import) the cookies stored in your own browser. All of this happens locally in your browser, at your direction.

3. Data we collect

We do not collect any personal data through the Extension. The Extension has no server component. It sends no cookies, no browsing history, no page content, and no usage analytics anywhere. Nothing you view, edit, export, or import is transmitted to us or to any third party.

4. Data stored locally on your device

The Extension uses your browser’s local storage (chrome.storage.local) only for:

Interface preferences — e.g. your chosen theme (auto / light / dark).
Your Pro license key, if you activate Pro. The key is verified on your device using a built-in public key; it is never sent to any server.

This data stays in your browser profile. Removing the Extension removes it.

5. Cookies the Extension accesses

To do its job, the Extension reads and writes cookies for the sites you choose to manage, using the browser’s cookies API. Cookie data is processed only on your device and only when you ask (open the editor, export, or import). The Extension does not inject scripts into web pages and does not read the content of the pages you visit. Cookie data is never sent to us.

6. Permissions, and why

cookies — to read and write your cookies (the core function).
storage — to save your theme and license key locally (section 4).
Host access (http/https) — required by the cookies API to read/set cookies for the sites you manage. Not used to access page content.

7. Purchases and licensing

Pro is unlocked with a one-time license key. If you buy a license, the payment is processed by our third-party payment provider acting as merchant of record (for example, Paddle or Lemon Squeezy). That provider collects and processes your payment details under its own privacy policy; we do not receive or store your card details. To issue your license key we receive only your email address and an order reference. We use these solely to deliver the key and provide support, and we do not sell or share them.

8. Third parties

The only third party involved is the payment provider described in section 7, and only if you make a purchase. The Extension itself contacts no third-party service.

9. Children

The Extension is a general-purpose developer tool and is not directed to children under 13.

10. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will change the “Last updated” date above and post the new version at this URL. Material changes will be reflected in the Extension’s store listing.
